Privacy policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
This policy explains how GEOQuébec / [Entité légale, à compléter] collects, uses and protects your personal information.
1. What we collect
We collect only what you send us, plus what any web server records in order to run.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you pick and the content of your message.
- Newsletter: your email address, nothing else.
- WebMCP Check tool: the address of the page you submit for analysis. We do not tie it to your identity.
- Technical logs: our host keeps the usual request data, including IP address, browser and requested page, for security and troubleshooting.
2. What we do not do
This section matters as much as the previous one. The site sets no cookies, uses no audience measurement tool and installs no advertising tracker. There is no account to create, so there is no user profile.
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information, under any circumstances.
3. Why we use it
- To reply when you write to us.
- To send you the newsletter you signed up for, and only that.
- To run and secure the site.
- To meet our legal obligations.
4. Who it is shared with
We use two providers, each for a single purpose:
- Formspree handles both form submissions, contact and newsletter. Your entries pass through and are stored with them.
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps the request logs described above.
5. How long we keep it
Messages received through the contact form are kept as long as needed to handle the request and follow up reasonably, then deleted.
Your newsletter address is kept until you unsubscribe. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link.
6. Your rights
Quebec’s Law 25 grants you rights over your personal information. You may:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent and ask for it to be deleted.
- Ask that your information be provided to you in a structured, commonly used technological format.
- Ask for a link about you to be de-indexed.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS only and applies strict security headers, including a content security policy that limits which external resources are allowed. No measure is foolproof, so we reduce risk first by collecting the bare minimum.
8. Privacy officer
For any question, or to exercise your rights, write to us. We will answer.

9. Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The update date appears at the top of this page. A significant change will be flagged in the newsletter if you are subscribed.
This document describes the site’s actual practices as of the date shown. It was written in the spirit of Quebec’s Law 25, but it is not legal advice and should be reviewed by counsel before being treated as final.
